It's good to hear you all enjoyed the walk last weekend. It was lovely seeing you all again after so long.
If you have any photos that you'd like to add to the album below, drop them in an email to us.
Thank you for making our last walk of the year so enjoyable. We hope you enjoyed the new location. We think it's a keeper, but we'd like to hear what you thought. Let us know in the comments to this post.

Thank you for joining us last Sunday for the Simply Social walk. Luckily the rain held off and we were able to complete the walk without getting wet
We have uploaded the photos we took to the Westie Walkers group page at flickr. If you'd like to share your photos from the walk, please join flickr, it's free, and add them to this flickr group, or post a link to where you've uploaded them in the comments below.
Keep on eye out here for details regarding our end of year walk which will likely be held in November.
Thank you all for making the walk yesterday afternoon so enjoyable. In addition to the regulars, it was lovely meeting Westies and their owners who joined us for the first time. We hope you will join us again on future walks.
It was great catching up and hearing about the adventures your Westies have been having over the last few months. Like Angus who has 3 stitches in his nose after sticking it through a fence where a larger dog lives, and Maggie who was found safe after having been missing for about 5 weeks. We were very happy to hear that Whiskey has found a new home, and everyone loved seeing the little puppy, Lotus, who made the trip all the way from the Sunshine Coast for the walk.
Here are a few photos from the walk, and more can be found on the Westie Walkers group page at flickr. If you'd like to share your photos from the walk, please join flickr, it's free, and add them to this flickr group, or post a link to where you've uploaded them in the comments below.
See you all in a few months time for the next walk, or at the Redcliffe Million Paws Walk in May.
Thanks to everyone who attended the Westies On Parade walk on Sunday 18th Nov. It was our final walk for what has been an eventful year for Westie Walkers. 2007 saw the launch of this website, which has hopefully given you a platform for sharing information within our community. You were all fantastic in helping us find a new home for Eddie (formerly known as Khan), and kindly donating to our focus charity - Guide Dogs Queensland. You've also helped direct queries about finding Westie puppies, and shared stories in the forums about grooming, pet-friendly accommodation, and Westie health issues. So, here's to 2008! We hope to see you all at our walks next year.
Our photos of the walk have been posted on Flickr in the Wilston Westie's group. We'd love to see your photos from the walk too, so join Flickr, it's free, and add your photos. Also, if you register at Flickr, you'll be able to see larger versions of the photos.
Here's a group photo of the 40 odd Westies that attended the walk. It's pretty hard getting a shot with all of them facing forwards, but there are 3 more in the Flickr group, so hopefully one of them will have your dog facing forwards.
Thanks to our generous sponsors, we were able to bring you some lovely prizes which were raffled at the walk. Here are the photos of the lucky winners..
Thanks to everyone who attended the Simply Social 3 walk on Sunday. We hope you all had an enjoyable afternoon, we and Maggie certainly did. If you haven't already done so, you can read Maggie's first-hand account of the walk over at her blog.
We have posted our photos from the walk in the Wilston Westies photo group on flickr. If you are a member of flickr, feel free to join the group and post your photos of the walk there too. If you are not a member, why not join flickr and add your photos. It is easy and it is free.
There was one Westie that was a bit too lazy to make the walk. He preferred just to hang around.
The Million Paws Walk was a great day out! There were lots of dogs but us Westies stuck together and revelled in the attention we got. Luckily for Maggie, there were Bronson, Jessie, Abby, Savannah, Mac, Millie and Wilson from Westie Walkers who all showed up. Her friend from last year, Salty, wasn't hard to find either, being the only other Westie in the crowd apart from the Westie Walkers. So now she's joined our gang, and clearly being another Pooter literate Pooch, has already posted a forum topic for you all to join in on.
We also got the Very Exciting News from Abby and Savannah's Pack Leaders, that our much loved Westie Walker Khan, now known as Eddie, is doing fantastically well in his new home. Happily, he is still in the Westie Walker crowd, and hopefully we will all get to see him again soon at one of our walks.
