Westie Walkers was started in June 2006 by Maggie the Philanthropooch and her willing Pack Leaders, Barry and Andrea.
After noticing how many smiles Maggie generated on her walks, Barry and Andrea thought what fun it would be to bring together Westies and their owners to trade happy "tails". Out of that has grown a group of dog loving Westie owners willing to help each other and the wider community.
So far beneficiaries have been Guide Dog Queensland and a little Westie that needed a new home. Members of Westie Walkers have supported these causes with spirited enthusiasm and abundant energy.
Maggie has continued to elicit smiles on her blog and on her walks.
